These two got to take advantage of the snow! This was their mini “snowy” session before the “spring-y” session! I don’t know about them, but I’m ready for the cold weather to be long gone! Part 2 … coming soon in April!

First came Jody. Then came Jamie. Then came J&J Photography!
We are Jody and Jamie that make up this fabulous father/daughter photo team. I bet if you asked us a few years ago, if we thought we would have this fabulous and rewarding career, we probably would have said "no". We are so lucky that we are able to meet new people, travel to different places, eat tasty food and see people smile all the time. Photography is our passion and we embrace every minute! We would love to meet you and share your special day! Send us an email or call us, don't be shy.

Things have been a little slow lately, but our downtime is coming to an end. Soon we will have fun photos to post and new stories to tell.
In the meantime, meetings and emails as usual. If you are new to our blog, we welcome you and hope you enjoy our work! If you are interested in sharing your wedding experience with my dad and I, BOOK SOON! Our weekends are filling up quickly!
Side note: Our rates and packages are going to be increasing around May/June. We have created better packages from all of the suggestions we received and feel these will fit your day perfectly!
For now, this is keeping me going … 19 days until SPRING!!!!
So excited!!!!!!!! My mother and I are finally getting to take a trip to TEXAS! My sister is a proud new homeowner and we are going to visit.
I will be gone April 16-21 and will not be accepting any sessions that weekend. With her being an accountant we are going to be able to celebrate the end of another grueling tax season, family, friendships, girls weekend and most importantly…… their NEW HOME! Bye, Bye apartment living…I’m sure we all know about that. {boo}
I will definitely have these bad boys on my feet! Let the countdown begin!!!!

Dad just got a new lens and we are eager to try it out at a wedding. For now, model cars make for good practice!!

This wedding was so sweet and our first wedding in the snow! After making a 5 hour trip {originally 2 hr 45 min} and 3 cups of coffee, we made it and got there in one piece! It was an honor to shoot Sallie’s wedding and everything went so smoothly. The calmest bride I have ever been around and she didn’t let the snow stop anything.
Best wishes and Congratulations!

Going from the foothills, to the mountains to where I am now … snow days just don’t come as often as they did. We finally had snow (really only sleet) but we were able to make a snowman. I spent the day with my husbands family and played with our nephew Dillon. Dillon had the honor of naming our new friend and he chose … Frosty. {go figure}

Until I can get this past wedding edited and complete, I want to leave you with our precious babies!
Growing up, we had dogs and cats….but we were NEVER allowed to have them in the house! Occasionally my sister would sneak one in the house, and I would be the one in trouble. So our animals came and went….
After graduating college and moving to Winston-Salem on my very own, I was lonely. Out of the blue one day, I decided I wanted a dog. Right then and there I called a lady from the newspaper and arranged to go look at her new puppies. That afternoon I left with my precious baby Baxter. Side note: They named him Clyde … um … I don’t think so. He is truly a Baxter!

So after getting Baxter, I kept him a secret for a few days. I knew my parents were coming to visit very soon so I waited to tell them shortly before the visit. They fell in love! When I first brought him home to their house, Dad was a little hesitant. Not used to having an animal in the house. It didn’t take long and they were best buddies. After about a year or so, they wanted a dog. A girl I worked with helped to find mom and dad a Yorkie.
Shortly after the search, came sweet, sweet Obie! Obie was a rescue and had to have lots of TLC! I couldn’t imagine what would have happened to him if it weren’t for someone taking him out of a bad situation and finding his way to my parents. My sister and I had an awesome childhood and was spoiled rotten! Somehow, they found a way to out do that and make Obie “King of the Castle”. He deserves it, we will let it slide Mom and Dad!

Then came precious Barney! This is my sister’s dog that they rescued in Texas. When they moved to Texas, they hadn’t been married but for about 6 months. One side of the family was in North Carolina and the other in California.
After being out there a while, they too became a little lonely. Barney definitely filled a spot in their hearts and he too was removed out of a bad situation and now living the high life!

This post is a little cheezy … ok a lot cheezy … but these 3 handsome studs warm our hearts and make us smile. It’s a full house when we all come to visit but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
Go give your pet friend a treat and tell them you love them!
We need prayers for tomorrow! We are putting on our snow boots, fuzzy toboggans, packing up the Jeep and heading out bright and early in the morning for my good friend Sallie’s Wedding. It never snows around us, until now! Let’s pretend it’s good luck! Pray for us that we will make it and all in one piece and arrive to a Winter Wonderland!
To make this post even better, here is a photo!

My old Wildfire gang, I miss you all terribly!!!!!!!!!
